Reflection. Is fasting and prayer? About Mark 9.29. By Fabian Massa.
Conclusion:The important thing is communion with God, it is to seek to know through His Word and prayer. Talk about fasting in another post.
Cf Mt. 27.21 The words "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting", v. VRV 21 in 1960, do not appear in the manuscripts of greater authority and probably have been taken from Mr. 9:29. In the corrected Bibles as the NIV, NASB, BTX and Jerusalem Bible verse Matthew 17.21 directly there.

The Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Sinaiticus (London, British Library, Add 43725,. Gregory-Aland No. א (Aleph) or 01) is a fourth-century uncial manuscript of the Greek version of the Bible, written in scriptio continuously between 330 and 350 originally contained the whole of both Testaments, but have survived to this day only pieces of the Septuagint, the entire New Testament, the Epistle of Barnabas and fragments of the Shepherd of Hermas (suggesting that the latter two texts might have been considered part of the biblical canon by the editors of the codex).
The Codex Alexandrinus (Codex Alexandrinus) is a V century manuscript of the Greek Bible, containing most of the Septuagint and the New Testament. The Codex Vaticanus (Bibl Vat, Vat 1209 gr,.....
