Reflection. A kingdom of priests to serve God the Father, Part II. By Fabian Massa.

Translated from Spanish to English with Google Translate.

How we saw in Part I [1], according to what John states in Revelation 1.7 Jesus made us a "kingdom of priests to God the Father." The first called to exercise this priesthood were the Jews, whom God himself tells them through Moses:
5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be My own possession among all peoples; for all the earth is mine.
6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
7 And Moses came and called the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD had commanded him. Ex.19.5-7 RV60

The fact is that the Jews, for various reasons, lost the opportunity to shape that priestly kingdom and by default we now have that opportunity as well understood Peter (1 Peter 2, NIV)
4 Come to him, a living stone, rejected by men but chosen by God and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

To exercise this priesthood need to be built, to be holy (set apart) and in order to offer spiritual sacrifices. Peter continues to teach:
"7 To you who believe, this stone is precious; but for unbelievers,
"The stone which the builders rejected

     has become the cornerstone, "[2]
and a rock that makes them fall. "[3]

8 and also: (for those who disbelieved in their name)
"A stone of stumbling *

But those who believed in His name, God has given us the right to become children of God (John 1:12), believed to have put us in this position:

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received. NIV 1 Peter 2.9-10.
Now, the first thing that comes to mind is that the priesthood should be exercised in the Church. Many understand and teach well, becoming in this way the most important activities within the four walls of the church. But this is a mistake, because the only purpose of the Church is to teach members to be priests of their homes, first minister to their families.

Shortly importantly live our lives as good Christians only in church meetings, however it is vital to our salvation if we live our lives according to the Gospel: The Church is a place to go to worship God and take Him to minister in our homes.

That is why Scripture says: "3 It is said, and truly, if anyone wants to be an overseer, a noble task. 2 Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, respectable, hospitable, able to teach; 3 should not be drunk or quarrelsome, not a lover of money, but gentle. 4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect; 5 For he who does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church? "(1 Timothy 3.1-5, NIV)
Able to teach, to teach first need to learn, study and practice. You learn in the Church but are studying at home and practiced in life. Being from Monday to Monday in the church is not going to become a priest of his house, primarily because you do not learn by osmosis, but by opening the Bible and second, because evil can be an example for your family if you never see.

To reach something that we want to undertake anything, we need to be clear where the priorities. As the saying goes: "You can not be in the Mass and procession"

If you want to do has to do with the things of the Lord, what are their interests first, and clearly its purpose is to teach the priest intercede, pray and present spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God first by itself and secondly by its family and newborn once done can look forward to serve the people of God.
